Below are some projects Cory has worked on before starting his own company in 2020.

MASTER BUILDER
Reno of the Year 2014

Cory worked for Luke Baxter from Beach House Builders, when they were awarded the Waikato Supreme House of the Year Award in 2014, for a renovation in Whangamata. This renovation was also awarded the National Renovation of the Year winner at the National Awards.

MONTE CECILIA
Emergency Housing 2018

Working in Auckland, Cory was involved in the Monte Cecilia Emergency Housing Project. This project was completed in 2018, and was opened by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

THE BLOCK
Firehouse 4 2019

Cory was the lead builder for the Blue Team on The Block NZ: Firehouse while working for Quinlan Quality Homes. The team won the community voted room of the year which was also scored a 30/30 by the judges.

EDEN PARK
Grandstand strengthening

During his time in Auckland, Cory gained commercial experience when working with an engineer, fixing a seismic issue on one of the main grandstands at Eden Park.

CORY DIAMOND (OWNER)

Diamond Carpentry is owned by Licenced Building Practitioner Cory Diamond. A Whangamata local for the past 22 years, Cory has more than 11 years of building experience under his tool belt. Cory has worked in Auckland construction as well as with local Whangamata Builders. An experienced builder with skills in all types of building projects, Cory started his own business Diamond Carpentry in 2020 to keep striving for excellence and realise his dream of running his own company.
